Document the opening condition

Resolve support and service space
Final product sheets should guide rough-in, carriers, blocking, valve depth, drain location, overflow, access panels, and clearances. Decide how an in-wall valve, shutoff, trap, or connection will be reached after the room is complete.
Keep trades accountable
Specify plumbing, carpentry, electrical, ventilation, waterproofing, tile, finish, fire stopping, cleanup, permits, and inspection as named roles. Build a concealed-work folio
Before closure, photograph routes, supports, test conditions, valves, access panels, and penetrations using room references. Retain the fixture schedule, manufacturer sheets, approved changes, permits, inspections, warranties, and care instructions. Mark differences from plans. These records make a later leak or fixture replacement less destructive and more precise.
