The work involves: locating and exposing the existing lead service pipe at the curb stop valve in the sidewalk; verifying the material of the connection at the city main corporation stop; installing new 1-inch Type K copper service pipe from the curb stop to the building foundation entry point; restoring the sidewalk excavation; and completing the BWSC-required inspection of the new service connection before backfill.
